Time Tracker

The Time Tracker is your personal day view for recording what you spend your working time on — using a stopwatch, entered manually, or as a suggestion from other systems (e.g. calls, meetings, tickets). It is deliberately personal: you always only see and manage your own entries here.

What can I do here?

  • Start and stop a stopwatch while working on an activity (ticket, call, meeting, onboarding, task, internal, other)
  • Add, edit or delete manual time entries
  • Accept automatic suggestions from other systems (e.g. CRM calls, meetings, completed tasks, calendar events), optionally with an adjusted duration, or dismiss them — also in bulk for the whole day ("Accept day")
  • Navigate backward and forward between days, or jump directly to a specific day
  • View the weekly overview as a bar chart and switch days by clicking a bar
  • Leave a comment on automatically captured entries (see below)
  • See in the "Automatically captured" list which items (tickets, companies, contacts, tasks) the system registered activity on for you today — including those below the 2-minute threshold
  • Switch to the team report or the transparency page

Step by step

  1. Start the stopwatch: Choose an activity type, optionally a target (e.g. a ticket) and a note, then click "Start". The clock runs live.
  2. Stop the stopwatch: Click "Stop" — this automatically becomes a time entry for today.
  3. Add a manual entry: Click "Add", enter activity type, duration, optionally a target and a note, then save.
  4. Accept a suggestion: Adjust the duration if needed and click the checkmark — or use "Accept day" to accept all of the day's suggestions at once.

Presence status

Your presence status controls whether your activity may be captured automatically (see Transparency page). You switch it yourself, e.g. via the toggle in the top bar; it's set to "Away" automatically when you log out.

Value Meaning
Available You can be tracked — automatic activity capture is active
Away On a break, off work, or logged out — no automatic capture

Automatically captured (day list)

Below the day overview, the "Automatically captured" section shows which items the system registered activity on for you that day — aggregated per item, with total duration and number of captures. Each row links directly to the item in question (ticket, company, contact or task), so you can jump there with one click.

Good to know:

  • The list also shows items whose daily activity stays below 2 minutes. Only from 2 minutes of daily activity per item does a suggestion or time entry get created automatically — shorter activity still remains visible here, so nothing is captured "invisibly".
  • The list only appears if anything was captured automatically on that day.
  • You only ever see your own captures. What exactly is captured, and when it is not (e.g. while your status is "Away"), is explained on the transparency page.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see an item under "Automatically captured" but no suggestion for it?
Your daily activity on that item stayed below 2 minutes. Suggestions are only created from 2 minutes of daily activity per item — but the "Automatically captured" list deliberately shows everything, so you have full transparency about what is being captured.

Why can't I edit or delete an entry?
Automatically captured entries (recognisable by the lock icon and the "Automatic" label) are immutable — but you can always add an explanatory comment. What exactly is captured automatically is explained on the transparency page.

What happens if I ignore a suggestion?
It stays open as a pending suggestion until you accept or dismiss it.

Where do I see how my whole week looks?
In the week bar below the entries — clicking a bar jumps directly to that day.

Is this the same as clock-in/clock-out time tracking?
No. The Time Tracker shows WHAT you spent your time on (activity-based, for reporting/transparency), while Time Tracking records official clock-in/clock-out attendance including manager approval, for payroll purposes. Both systems run independently side by side.
