Quick search

Open the quick search from any page with Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows and Linux), or with the grid icon at the top of the left icon bar. Both routes lead to the same window.

With nothing typed it is your entry point to every product; as soon as you type, it searches several sources at once and keeps the results apart, because they answer different questions.

What can I do here?

  • See every product at a glance, grouped by topic, and open one of them
  • Find a page whose name you know
  • Find out which area has anything to say about a keyword at all
  • Read the matching manual page without opening the help centre
  • Jump to one of your favourites

With nothing typed: your entry point

Section What it contains
Favourites The pages you starred yourself. As long as you have not set a single one, the section is not shown at all.
Product categories Every product, grouped by topic: Sell, Customers, Operations, Workplace, People, Platform. Each product with its icon, name and one sentence on what it does.
Help The handbook plus one entry point per area.

You do not set favourites here but in the menu of the respective product: hover over an entry and click the star.

The result groups when you type

The groups always appear in the same order and are separated by a rule.

Group Answers Where the click takes you
Products "Which product is meant in the first place?" to the product's start page
Pages "Where is the page with that name?" straight to the page
Areas with content "Which area knows about my keyword?" to that area's manual overview, with the number of hits beside it
Manual "Explain this to me" to the manual page, with the match highlighted in the text

A group with no hits is not shown at all.

Step by step

  1. Press Cmd + K or Ctrl + K.
  2. Type a keyword. Results appear immediately.
  3. Move with the arrow keys, open with Enter, close with Esc.

With nothing typed, the quick search shows your favourites, every product and the help entry points.

Frequently asked questions

Why do the manual hits appear a moment later?
The manual runs to several hundred pages. Its search index is only fetched the first time you open the quick search, so the application starts faster. While it is on its way you already see the page hits, with a note below saying the manual is still being searched. The second time you open it the index is there and everything appears at once.

Does the search cope with typos?
In the manual yes, there is a tolerance for mistyping built in. Page names are matched exactly.

Why do I find a page through a word that is not in its name?
Because the heading of the menu group and the page address are searched as well. A search for "master data" therefore finds every page filed under that heading.

What does the "Platform only" marker on a product mean?
That product has not been released generally yet. You see it because you have platform access; for tenants without a release it appears neither in the quick search nor in the icon bar. Release happens per tenant.

I cannot see a product I know exists.
Three possible reasons: it has not been released for your account yet, it was switched off for your tenant, or your role has access to none of its pages. Contact your account manager.

My product list is completely empty. Is the application broken?
No. Since August 2026 an empty product list is always explained instead of simply staying blank - in the quick search as a notice, and in the narrow icon bar on the left as a marker that opens the quick search with the same text. The notice names one of three causes: no permissions are recorded for your account (either nothing has been granted yet, or the permission service is currently unreachable - the two cannot be told apart from the outside); your permissions open no product area; or no product has been enabled for your company yet. Your administration resolves the first two under roles and permissions, your account manager the third. Your profile and sign-out remain reachable in every case, and the quick search itself stays usable.

Does it search my data too, customers or orders?
No. The quick search finds pages and manual content. For records, use the search on the page in question.
