Languages

This page manages which languages your admin area is translated into. New languages are automatically translated as drafts by AI and must be reviewed by you before going live. This page does not affect the storefront's sales languages — those are managed under the "Languages" tab in "Settings".

What can I do here?

  • Add a new language and have it automatically translated by AI
  • See the estimated translation cost before starting
  • Follow the progress of a running translation job live
  • Have missing or all texts of a language retranslated
  • Review translation drafts and publish (approve) them

Step by step

  1. Click "Add language".
  2. Choose the target language and, optionally, a different source language (default: your workspace's default language).
  3. Check the estimated cost shown and start with "Start translation".
  4. Watch the progress in the displayed progress bar until the job reports "Done".
  5. Click "Approve drafts" next to the new language in the table to publish the AI drafts after review.
  6. Later, if needed, use "Retranslate" to translate only missing keys or all texts of a language again.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to approve drafts before a language goes live?
This ensures AI-generated text can be reviewed before publication, to catch translation errors.

What's the difference from the "Languages" in the storefront (under Settings)?
This page translates the admin interface itself (e.g. menu items, buttons) into additional languages for your team. Storefront sales languages for your customers are managed separately in the "Languages" tab under "Settings".

What happens if a translation fails?
The progress bar shows an error message. You can restart the process via "Retranslate".
